Indian wedding games mix tradition into the celebration in a playful manner, and among them, Juaa-Juee stands out as a fun post-wedding ritual for the bride and groom.
Juaa-Juee adds a fun-filled element to the celebrations. This small yet healthy competition takes place in various communities, especially the Marwari community.
The game involves looking for a ring in a bowl filled with raw milk with fragrant rose petals. The bowl, usually a silver one, becomes the centerpiece for this challenge. The gold ring hidden within the milk makes the bride and groom dip their hands into the milk and compete to be the first to find the ring. The game is repeated several times, with the excitement building as the participants eagerly try to outdo each other.
As the game concludes, marking the end of the Juaa-Juee session, the moment of dulhan vidai follows. This signifies the bride saying bye to her parents’ home and starting the journey to her husband’s home, ending the wedding on a sweet and playful note.
